ABOUT ME
A Mindfulness Approach to Therapy
With over 20 years of experience as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals and relationships in their journey toward positive change and emotional well-being. My journey began with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy. Licensed to practice in both California and Colorado, I have honed my skills in diverse settings, including non-profit organizations, intensive outpatient care, and private practice.
In my private practice, I focus on life transitions, trauma and dissociation, identity exploration, parenting, relationship dynamics, addiction, mood disorders, and anxiety. I employ an eclectic, trauma-informed approach to therapy, integrating both Eastern and Western healing methods with an emphasis on the connection between mind, body, and spirit. Mindfulness-based practices are central to my work, helping clients develop greater awareness and presence.
Throughout my career, I have overseen associate clinicians and led diverse therapy groups, incorporating a variety of therapeutic approaches. My extensive background enables me to address a wide range of clinical concerns with compassion and expertise. I have also managed Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Alumni Programs in addiction treatment facilities, underscoring my commitment to holistic and comprehensive care.
Together, we will work on building life skills, regulating emotions, and fostering meaningful connections that align with your authentic self. My approach is adaptable and respectful of each individual's unique experiences and needs.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy various physical activities like biking, running, swimming, and hiking, as well as spending quality time with loved ones."
