Meet Carissa Robinson, LMFT

A Mindful Embodied Way Of Healing

I’m Carissa Robinson, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Hermosa Beach, California.

I offer in-person sessions in Hermosa Beach and telehealth for clients throughout California and Colorado.

I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to understanding people, what we carry, how we adapt, and what it actually takes to heal.

My work is trauma-informed and attachment-based, with an emphasis on embodied healing. I integrate Brainspotting, somatic work, and parts-based approaches, so we’re not just talking about your experiences, we’re working with what’s happening in your body and nervous system in real time.

Many of the patterns you’re struggling with once made sense. They helped you cope, survive, or stay connected. Together, we make sense of those patterns with compassion, and begin to shift them in ways that feel safe, grounded, and sustainable.

Sessions with me aren’t one-size-fits-all. Sometimes we talk. Sometimes we slow things down and tune into what’s underneath, your body, your emotions, your internal world.

We move at the pace of your system. The goal isn’t to force change, it’s to build awareness, capacity, and a deeper connection to yourself.

I show up as a real person, engaged, present, and attuned. I’ll guide you, but I also trust you. You are the expert on your own experience.

Healing happens in relationship, and you don’t have to do this alone.

If this resonates, I’d love to connect.
